I grew up in a dynamic and impactful youth ministry that helped me develop and cultivate my love for God. After graduating from Sul Ross State University, my wife and I became not only teachers at the school but youth pastors at our local church. Over the years, our heart for ministry and the students of Uvalde grew.

One evening, I was asked to attend an interest meeting at First State Bank about a youth program that was trying to make its way to Uvalde. I reluctantly went after my wife told me she was familiar with YoungLife from her college years in Austin. We were sold. “YoungLife is exactly what Uvalde needs,” we thought. We found ourselves on the committee shortly after and sometime later were asked if full-time ministry had ever been a thought. By God's grace, it had.

Now, I am officially leaving the teacher desk and paperwork, but excitedly not the students, relationships or even teaching, as The Lord has allowed me to go on staff with YoungLife for the students of Uvalde High School. I am excited to invite you to partner with me in this powerful ministry. We have a unique opportunity of working with students and making an eternal impact on young people who are about to enter adulthood. These students are the future world changers and when they graduate they will be given the option to change the world for themselves or change the world for Christ.
